The Dawah Committee of the Islamic Center of Central PA is pleased to announce and invite you all to attend a lecture given by Dr. Caner K Dagli, professor of Islamic Studies at The College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA.

The title of the talk is The Relationship between Science, Philosophy, and Culture in the Islamic Thought.

The lecture will be held January 15th, 2019 in Willard Bldg., Room 160 at 4:30 pm. The lecture is co-sponsored by the Department of Philosophy and the Muslim Student Association (MSA) at Penn State.

Dr. Dagli specializes in Quranic Studies, Interfaith Dialogue, and Philosophy. He participated in his local Islamic community in numerous projects to serve Islam. Some of his contributions are:
• Dr. Dagli spent a year as a special advisor for interfaith affairs to the Royal Hashemite Court of Jordan and was one of the 138 Muslim signatories of A Common Word amongst Us initiative program.
• Dr. Dagli is also one of the editors of the book, The Study Quran.
